White Lace and Promises

I  captured that magical moment between the new bride and groom. White lace and promises, a kiss for luck and we're on our way... This painting was inspired by the need for more images of African American brides and grooms for licensing with the card industry. For this painting I had an overlay of textured lace paper on her gown creating an interesting play between the smooth surface of the oil and that of the paper.
