As a designer and jewelry artist,
I work to incorporate elements of my African American culture and heritage into beautiful contemporary designs. I incorporate Adinkra symbols into many of my designs. Adinkras come from the Akan people of Ghana and Cote D’Ivoir meaning “messages” which represent African proverbs and the wisdom of the elders. I enjoy sculpting faces of dynamic black people to use in my work, giving each a unique personality showcased on a stylish background.
