This original painting is part of a portrait series of faces across Africa to America. Each image is juxtaposed with an African carving that matches their personality. There are 12 images originally created for a plate collection and calendar that never happened. Each painting is ringed with African Fabric to complement the image. These paintings were an answer to present the uplifting positivity of the Black female in the midst of the scourge of rap music debasing the Black woman and exploiting their femininity.
