Original handmade polymer clay jewelry by African American artist Dianne Quarles.
This is a one-of-a-kind polymer clay necklace and earrings made with freshwater pearls, black coral and seed beads. The Maruvian Woman is sculpted with a strong, determined face and the African Adinkra symbol for "bravery" below her.
She is one in the series, " Maruvian Women," inspired by the beautiful, strong faces of women of African ancestry throughout the world. These women are the back bone of our communities, managing families, working, running businesses, defending, educating, creating, enriching and governing communities, families and countries.
